My experiences with foreign small caps and emerging markets have not been good. I invested in Artisan’s global small cap, and it performed so poorly that they closed it after a few years. I invested in MAPIX, and it was still losing money after more…

Generally, the Santa Claus rally refers to the stock market's history of rising over the last five trading days of the year…
When in doubt, claim seasonality?
Background: On another forum, you (finally) posted a near-real time BUY of the stock market in late Oct. You got UP a few % an sold your entire position.
The markets then promptly ran up HUGE gains in Nov and …

Not to rain on your thread, but...
A Santa Claus rally is the tendency for the S&P 500 index to increase over the final five trading days of December and the first two trading days of January. The term was first coined in the 1970s in the Stock…
Well, there are a LOT more articles out there about the proposed sale. Had you read them, you might have had an idea why Fetterman said what he said, and you might not have criticized him.

I would put that at extremely low probability. He is on Semaglutide and Ketamine. With either of them, the probability goes down and with both, it is even lower.
I thought Doug put that in for humor.
Duh, yeah!

My suggestion is if you are a Fido customer, and probably even if you are not, call Fido M-F during market hours, and ask to speak to the FI department, nobody else. As I have noted on other CD threads, they have some of the most knowledgeable and …
@Stillers. Thanks so much for sharing that info. It sounds like it might take more time and it’s really in the hands of the bank. I am rethinking brokered CD’s based on all this.

One non interest payment in 15 years. Looks to me to be a very good batting average.

Anyone else have this experience?

Yes, I did one time, but at Fido not Schwab. It too was with a very large bank. It was in Jan 2023 and I discussed it in a thread on the Fido Investor Community board titled, "FDIC'd Broke…
If you include the 4% foreign bonds, then the bond allocation is 60% for the fund.
I previously stated,
"Per @Tarwheel's post, PRCFX is currently (51%+5% or) 56% in bonds."
How are you getting to 60%?
OK, so since I can't say I will never withdraw from a brokerage CD, I will transfer them from the 401k to a Bank IRA.
Nothing against your advisor, and this may well have been discussed, but if it was not... This point is a cornerstone of CD owners…
@Jan : Have you given any thoughts to T-bills or notes in your taxable account(s) ? Most states don't tax the interest.
Great question/comment that I missed! I never own them in txbl a/c's and usually forget to mention this.
@Jan:
Disclaimer: You likely gave your advisor the detail of your current investments and your projected income gap upon retirement, along with risk profile information. That is all needed for anyone here or elsewhere to provide quality advice. …
@rforno,
Agreed. We are LT holders of PRWCX as well. Very interested in PRCFX as a possible companion holding to PRWCX, but NOT if its stock/bond holdings and strategy are highly comparable to PRWCX. IF they are more the likes of a VWENX/VWIAX pair…

CP CD rates continue to tick DOWN, and with it the opportunity to build a 5-yr CP CD ladder yielding a rate near 5% continues to disappear.
Per @Tarwheel's post, PRCFX is currently (51%+5% or) 56% in bonds.
Per Fido and M*, as of the latest data on 09/30/23, PRWCX holds 32% bonds.
Not enough detail yet on the current PRCFX stock and bond holdings to do a more detailed comparison of them…
