  • Howdy folks,

    TERM LIMITS!?!

We did that in Michigan and I voted for it and it's been a bloody disaster. Now instead of perhaps learning the game and staying around, they are on the take from day 1. You see everyone of these sluts line of their corporate parachute from the beginning. My previous state rep sold out to Manni and the Bridge, my most recent was an insurance industry fluffer.

Term limits have been a disaster in Michigan.

    and so it goes,

    peace,

    rono

    BTW, note silver and gold.
  • Not a Warren fan much, or not yet (was frankly shocked at the Tx bar registration deceit from age 37), but this is close to revolutionary for this country:

I like the IDEA. But if I was a younger parent today, I'd rather socialize and teach the kid on my own terms--- rather than to have him or her absorbed into the fluffiness where everyone gets a trophy for just showing up; and crazy crap is accepted in the name of "toleration." (Anyone else notice that until about 2015, we could reliably count the number of genders on 2 fingers? But now, " let's let the child choose how he/she wants to be. And why does it have to be limited to a binary choice?" ) Duh. I was at the library yesterday and saw a new book that just arrived, purporting to instruct the reader about how to talk about and to people in a politically correct way, so no one ever has to hear anything about such stuff that might make them have to pay attention to actual reality, which might upset them.
