A friend put me onto this creep. I just found this about Curtis Yarvin:
Curtis Yarvin, who writes under the pseudonym Mencius Moldbug, is a far-right political blogger and software developer known for founding the "Dark Enlightenment" or neo-reactionary (NRx) movement, which advocates for the replacement of democracy with an authoritarian, corporate-style governance model akin to a monarchy led by a CEO-like dictator.
He has gained significant influence among prominent figures in the American right, particularly through his close association with billionaire venture capitalist Peter Thiel.
Peter Thiel, a co-founder of PayPal and early investor in Facebook, has been a major financial and ideological supporter of Yarvin. Thiel’s venture capital firm, Founders Fund, was an early investor in Yarvin’s startup Urbit (originally named Tlon), and Thiel has been described as Yarvin’s patron.
Yarvin has referred to Thiel as “fully enlightened,” claiming he had been “coaching” him politically, a claim corroborated by leaked emails in which Yarvin told Milo Yiannopoulos that Thiel was “fully enlightened, just plays it very carefully” after watching the 2016 election results together at Thiel’s house.
Their ideological alignment is evident in shared critiques of democracy. In a 2009 essay for the Cato Institute, Thiel wrote, “I no longer believe that freedom and democracy are compatible,” a view Yarvin strongly endorses.
Yarvin’s vision involves replacing democratic institutions with a hierarchical, technocratic system where governance resembles a corporation, with a single leader acting as a national CEO.
This philosophy has influenced other right-wing figures, including Vice President J.D. Vance, who has echoed Yarvin’s ideas and benefited from Thiel’s financial backing in his political career.
Despite efforts to keep their relationship discreet, both men have acknowledged their connection. Yarvin has shared private correspondence and gifts from Thiel, including a book and a portrait of himself styled as a role-playing game character card inscribed “Philosopher”.
Marc Andreessen, another tech leader, has also cited Yarvin as a friend and intellectual influence, further cementing Yarvin’s role as a key ideological figure among a segment of Silicon Valley elites.
As of 2025, Yarvin has moved from the ideological fringes to a central role in shaping the political vision of the MAGA movement, with his ideas on dismantling democratic norms and instituting a corporate dictatorship increasingly reflected in the policies and rhetoric of figures like Thiel, Vance, and others in the current administration.

A view evidently shared by FullyDuped 1000%.
Fascinating how these people come to the United States from somewhere else, and then applaud the destruction of the country that they came to and made their money in.

Yes, indeed.
It seems to be very hypocritical, and dare I say, even traitorous!
If these people denigrate the importance of our constitutionally-guaranteed rights
and the rule of law, they should get the hell out of the country.
Perhaps they would find Hungary, El Salvador, or Eswatini more to their liking?
