BASEBALL- The War on Venezuela and players from that country
Will the many MLB players be allowed to attend spring training when maga is at war with that country? With the maga carrier battle group now in the area, the dog will be wagging!!!!
Re the Charlotte NC activity. It makes me wonder what to do if I’m driving & waiting at a red light and a big guy dressed on military fatigue, face covered by a mask, gun in tow, walks up and pounds on the window demanding I step out. There are MAGA people in our state who typically dress in military fatigue- although I haven’t seen any with their faces covered - yet.
@Hank. Six months ago your question would have been absurd. Not today. My wife and were driving between Chicago and St Louis in a bare bones Saturn, with California plates. We are stopped for no reason by DEA Guys who had their weapons visible. It was very uncomfortable and the line of questioning made no sense. The situation was defused when they spotted a 1st Cav sticker on our car . A family member was deployed at the time. But we were very apprehensive.
I'm indignant, just reading that, @larryB. Think of all of the off-ramps that this country did NOT use in order to be rid of Orange Trumpy. And look at where we are now, and all the harm he's done. My blood sizzles.
@Crash. We were just an old couple in a stealth car, driving while having California plates in rural Illinois. Think about those of color driving anyplace. On the same road trip we were denied seating in an empty restaurant in Wyoming. We also had our car searched at a border patrol checkpoint on I -10 in Texas. And this was before maga. Today we avoid certain “red” areas here in California.

Yep. I’ve seen them at some airports (can’t recall where) sitting just outside the TSA screeinng area staring passengers down. A queasy feeling for sure.
