Something hinky going on... trade this morning

...Well, it was an ATTEMPTED trade, a limit-order, wanting to buy PCFBY, which is Pac. Basin Shipping. I checked three different sources for current share price. All of them showed a price under $10 at that moment. On the TRADING (transaction) page at the TRP brokerage, the share price was up over $10.25...... But when I navigated to a different page (still logged-in,) the share price that showed there actually jived with the others.

I bought RGR, instead. But I'm not happy about the way this happened. It sucks. Just sharing, here.

  • PCFBY is a very thinly traded ADR (about 2K avg volume). You could set limit-buy and forget it. You bought RGR instead to do what? (-:)

...To do what? Well, to di-worse-ify. I taught riflery at summer camp a million years ago. There's even more demand these days for guns. Not just for hunting, but to make the crazy-ass militia-types happy. Last time I was target shooting with my friend was too long ago. Fun. (Spell-checker does not like the word, riflery? Screw it, then.). RGR was on my watch-list. Still allegedly undervalued. (per Morningstar, per Simply Wall Street, per Barron's.)

*Anyhow, that share-price discrepancy rubs me the wrong way. Should not BE, dammit.
  • Not to politicize the discussion, but I read this AM in NY Times that gun sales since 2000 have tripled. Somebody has to be making money there.

  • ......But not TODAY. Frikkin' massacre in the Markets.
Doesn't it just figure that I bought soon after the open.
  • @ Crash : I 'm now thinking you bought stock , not a MF ?I have been sending buys in after close & the next day Mr. Market is up . Then the next day it bombs. I feel your pain !

    Better luck next time, Derf
  • Thanks, @Derf. You're correct.
