Power changes hands between parties; that’s how democracy works. As Obama once said, “Elections have consequences.”
As ever, the obvious gets ignored. Trump is no Republican. He is unique, which is exactly why he produces so much antipathy and resistance from REAL people. He is a lawless, anti-constitutional, soul-less, hollow shell, merely resembling a human. Sadly, the rest of the Repugnants have drunk up all the Kool-Aid and fallen into line. Orange Felon is the pinnacle of what the former Republican Party has become, i.e., repugnant.
trump and all of the GOP will be on death watch from now until 2026 mid-terms. They have put into motion policies that will accelerate their downfall. Policies that they cannot reverse at this point, without also invoking the ire of "the base". Rock and a hard place!
Clearly, the swing voters that they need to win elections are very disappointed in their actions. So, many feel duped. Arguably, they duped themselves. Still, such is human nature that they are going to place ALL of that blame elsewhere.
The gaslighting over inflation is apparently not working. New market highs are not salve on these wounds.
Reading these posts makes me chuckle. All I see is nonstop TDS. Politics always swings back and forth, but Democrats seem to live in a constant state of panic—everything’s always on fire. Keep up the rants and watch how you destroy the whole point of this site.
Hope is back? Interesting take. I didn’t realize Commie Mamdani was our new savior.
People who bleat 'TDS' in the face of valid criticism miss the irony that they are very much afflicted by it themselves. In fact, probably more so, because that's how cults cult.

And to GQP/MAGA, everything is illegal, black, brown, trans, gay, or runs contrary to their warped view of what Jesus said/did/wants. So they're also running around with their hair on fire in a constant state of panic, too.
FD has responded with nothing substantive to rebut much of anything in here for a very long time. Quoting Scott Galloway, in a back-and-forth between himself and Kevin O'Leary: "I find that people who use the term derangement directed at me, do so because they themselves have no cogent rebuttal to respond with."

@FD1000 I agree with you; let's get back to economic news. Economist David Rosenberg this morning:
"Ballot Box Signals Economic Disapproval: Tuesday’s ballot results can be boiled down to the loss of confidence over the Administration’s economic policies, as an NBC poll shows that only 30% of the general public believes that the President has lived up to his goal in tackling the critical cost-of-living issue — that is his lowest mark, even though it was the #1 campaign issue a year ago. The share of the public who believes the economy is getting worse is more than double the 21% who see things improving"
Bloomberg had detailed discussion of Georgia Utility Commission race where rising cost of Electricity propelled two Democrats into office, despite GOP attempts to focus on "DEI" and not costs. Much bigger turnout than anyone expected.
Guardian had detailed articles on Mamdani's canvasing with 100,000 volunteers in the streets talking to common people in NYC about affordability as the major reason he won. You can complain all you like about the taxes and regulations in NYC but both GOP and Dem administrations have done little about them, while the Billionaires prosper. None of the GOP Mayors running on reduced taxes and reduced regulations have ever done anything to help little people and these mobilization efforts got these folks out to vote.
Claims that the stock market is soaring do nothing to help most people who do not own stocks.
It is only the top 10% that is benefiting in this economy. AI investments will add massive new price increases to little people's bills
