Just got our Dec. natural gas bill for heating only. Went up 24.8 % from same period a year ago under Biden. Yuuup,,,,cost of living going down. Just like our Medicare premiums,,, our homeowners and auto insurance,,, just paid 14.99 for a pound of ground beef. So little inflation. Thanks shithead.

Home insurance is blasting thru the stratosphere: +20% each of the last two years, and this isn't even a high-risk area. The Drill Baby Drill administration can't be helping.

Hope the homeowners among us signed up for some solar panels before the extermination; electricity is headed up too, and I don't trust that we basic ratepayers won't be paying for the energy hog AI crap.
  • After the floods here this year I hate to see my homeowner insurance bill. Too bad they couldn't capture all that wind and rain power into the electric grid to offset the cost.
  • All bills, from utilities to food to durable goods are making people groan.
Basic protein like ground beef at $14.99 will be unbearable for many households.

    Making American's Groan Again!

  • @DrVenture. We had not bought ground beef in years. Generally don’t eat meat but wife was making some terrific cabbage soup. That price was shocking. I tell my wife every day that it would really be terrible to be poor nowadays. Thanks maga.

@larryB I love cabbage soup with ground beef and fresh green beans. Served with thick rye bread & butter!
  • Think what you need is a bigger barrow of cash to buy food just like the German did post WWI.

Just paid $80 for 2 bags of grocery without expensive beef, seafood, and wine at Albertson store. Do you think the recent CPI # reflects the actual cost of living? This is far worst than any recent time. Where is BS1000?

    No, it does not.

NY Fed President John Williams said:
Some 'technical factors' distorted November's CPI reading downward.
    Ed Yardeni said:
Now that the government shutdown is over, the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) is releasing economic indicators again. However, the quality of the latest releases is an issue. Today's lower-than-expected November CPI inflation report boosted stock and bond prices after its release. But the gains faded as economists started to question the CPI numbers. Indeed, the release included a warning that the government shutdown might have distorted the BLS's efforts to collect the CPI data.
    Where is BS1000?

One might assume that @FD1000 could be the one voice who "consistently presents
perspectives from the other side to maintain balance and encourage genuine debate."

I do encourage FD1000 to participate in a genuine debate regarding this very important topic.

Note: Referencing deceptive White House press releases, disseminating right-wing propaganda,
invoking imaginary TDS, and blaming President Biden for Trump's blunders is not regarded as genuine debate!
  • I am sure he is more than crushing it $$$$$ and will get out 3 minutes before the bond market turns. And that’s all that matters. For some the world stops at their balance sheet.

He offers so much "balance". Like any brainwashed rube would.

You have to be delusional to look back at your investment track record and say that every move was perfect. And you have to be delusional to stick with MAGA despite all the harm and corruption.
  • @JD_co. You said it.

@larryB, you nailed it. From the other channel yesterday.

Another turtle move to a new ATH today.

    In that case...never mind!

To be able to exit 99% of holdings at every 1% drop, and then get back in at the precise correct moment is truly the work of a magician, right out of thin air! He could create a software program to do it and make a billion! But, alas, he has "enough", so no need.

"FullyDelusional", as I've mentioned many times. I dunno about the "1000" part- maybe the number of times that he's told everybody how great he is?

You, sir, have vastly underestimated FD1000!
  • Yeah, there's that alright. Sorry.
  • Maybe time to create a nom deplume of FD1OOO and use it like Colbert would?

    That would be a hoot!
