TVs stop spying on viewers in Texas. How to disable ACR anywhere.

As many of you keep the wheels moving regarding the latest adventures from the multi headed snakes from D.C. land; and that I can not possibly offer valid investment insights during this 'very non-normal' period; I will offer this OT submission.

We subscribe to Malwarebytes for protection on several online devices. We receive newsletter updates regarding special circumstances and cybersecurity/virus threats for various programs and/or devices. I plan to provide some of these here. I hope some of you here will find value with these. The below article regards disabling ACR on tv's. This, of course; doesn't apply to over the air broadcast reception.

    Similar to tracking cookies for site visits on the internet. An example is: YouTube knows what we view.

    From time to time I watch some youtube vids on some topics like changing a turn indicator on an old Honda. I don't use it to watch anything generally.

    I am inadequately knowledgeable about tech in general and so I have to ask, if this change were implemented nationwide (or worldwide) how much difference would it make? Isn't using a smartphone making us just as vulnerable, or worse? It seems to me people engage with their smartphones far more frequently than their televisions.
