Lynn,
Thank you so much. I am planning on a 3-year ladder since I am a year away from retirement. Lots of spreadsheet work to calculate the income replacement needed. This ladder will create a steady income stream. So thank you for all your help.
I moved back to high quality bond funds this year. Some of which you covered in the SA article. For now, I will stay with agency bonds to the bond ladder. I will pick active managers for corporate bonds.

Things can get ugly if South China Sea conflict escalates. In the last 3 months the broader EM index which has 40% exposure to China has been declining. Think I will sit out this dance.
Thanks@TheShadow. That is what I find on Artisan institutional site. The other one is for retail investors. Not much info on the site other than few general info. You need to contact directly.
That is NOT a fund for me.
So with all that said, not sure i'm ready to allocate such a big chunk, though I do love Tiffany as an investor.
Not in a hurry from this end either. The situation continues to evolve. Will see how Ms. Hsio's fund perform in the near term.
We have had the discussion on Baillie Gifford awhile back. @msf provided a detailed analysis on Baillie Gifford investment approaches. For retail investors, there are two vehicles available:

That is the risk of being concentrated in one region, Asia. Yes, many have said that is where the growth will be. The counter argument is at what cost, especially geopolitical.
Value oriented shops such as Oakmark has turned around this year after many years of lagging behind their growth counterparts. Let's hope the trend continues.
I taken that you don't invest with Matthews Asia funds or have high opinon of their outlook? Though I agree that Matthews Asia funds have not excel with the exiting of several experienced managers.
Majority of my Amazon purchase have been positive. I once bought an item (~$20) from Amazon and it was used and repackaged instead being new. Without returning the item, I left a review as I disclosed here. The merchant promptly refunded the enti…
Failure to recycle and reclaime valuable metals from electronics over the last several decades is truly disappointing. Rare earth metals are not considered as consumables and disposed as garbage. For now many of these metals are mined from China.
Charging stations would be the low hanging fruit. New batteries that meet the driving range (energy density), charging time and overall lifespan (something cheaper and lighter than lithium-ion batteries) requirements have yet to be developed. Also…
David Girux stated on several interviews that PRWCX’s long term goal is to provide equity-like return but with lower volatility. The long term culminated return of PRWCX is higher as showed in the above graph. Lower drawdown through severe market …
The nation needs to get this bill through with aging roads and bridges. Thought the Bush administration tried this before but their own members failed to support it. Hope this time is different.
Are CNBC articles worthwhile to read or just for entertainment ? In last WealthTrack interview, David Rosenberg said to buy long term treasury. Glad his is not my advisor.
But automatic investing is available at Fidelity, $5/transaction, and you can stop after one transaction. One could purchase OSTIX at Vanguard ($20) or Merrill Edge ($19.95), transfer it in kind to Fidelity (no transfer fee), and continue investing…
The top 10 holdings of Wellington has changed from value oriented to more like a blended. It now holds more growth names like Google, Facebook, Amazon, and Apple other than the traditional value stocks. This change was noted in one of @msf posting…

A number of Matthew funds are even more focus on China than Seafarer and thus they have larger loss in recent weeks.
Older webcasts on Seafarer website are worthwhile to review for better understanding on the changes over the past decade.

@Mark, For the better or worse, the Chinese stocks have evolved since they started listing outside of China stock exchanges. Andrew Foster of Seafarer funds has written extensively on this topic. As such I use Seafarer in order to gain exposure i…
Interesting comment from GP.
We’ve been gradually reducing our US-listed Chinese names for some time now. We’ve done it largely because of the rhetoric from the US side, but now it looks like the stronger message is coming from China. As of now, …
It is mind boggling to see how the Chinese government interferes with the day-to-day operation of these companies. Having themselves listed in overseas stock exchanges have little or no value to the investors. Andrew Fosters of Seafarer funds disc…

I like RPGAX too. I believe the Blackstone investment serves as a hedge against black swan events as in March 2020. Other than cash all asset classes fell in that time period. A few rebounded quickly and the others followed after the Fed intervened…
Thanks Charles. Great comparison.
RPGAX invests 10% in hedge fund while VGWAX has none. This is also reflected in the lower ER with VGWAX, 0.34% (Admiral shares) vs. 0.95%.
