Well, it was up that amount until yesterday when it dropped 2.88%. Trust it will get much of that back today though.
Disclaimer: I am not an owner but am highly intrigued by this fund.
Investment repercussions?
1. The one item that jumps out in the articles I've read so far is the possible (likely?) disruption of China supply chains. Convincing arguments are being made about that and if/when it happens, that could be a biggie…
I do not or never have owned a "core" bond fund. I am not really sure what the benefits are. When comparing them to some non-traditional funds they are much more volatile. I will assume the higher credit rating in these funds are the attraction. It …
Not too fond of that overall list, though it includes many of the popular names on forums, some of which I might consider owning, notably IICIX/IIBAX. I have owned Baird and DblLine in the past.
Maybe take a look at this Fido screen. To me at…

NHMAX+ORNAX had a great run in 2019. LT bonds isn't a category I usually use because of higher volatility. My goal is to stay within lower volatility funds but still make a good return. HY Munis also have tax-advantaged over LT bond.

Blutarsky: Over? Did you say “over”? Nothing is over until we decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no!
Otter: Germans?

Thanks for the updates.
To your question...borrowing a phrase, if I may, from Lambert's HOF induction speech...
"You damned well better believe (it)!"
Yes, EXTREMELY useful focus. Thanks.
Improvements? Well, since you asked...

@stillers
I agree with your observation of FBALX....
