  • After giving 20+ judgements by MAGA Supreme Court in favor of Trump, this was just a glitch by them since they knew Trump will find a way to institute tariff.

I now see the next major judgement from them on Amendment 14 - Trump will get his way - automatic birthright citizenship only available to children born to American citizens & green card holders.

His tariffs have not created more manufacturing jobs, in fact we lost 108,000 manufacturing jobs in 2025. Countries are now leaving the U.S. out of the loop and making trade deals amongst themselves and leaving the U.S. out. He also was the best friend and wingman for the most famous pedophile in history and is, against the law, redacting his name from the Epstein files. Nobody is in those files more than Trump.

Thanks Dutch. Every now and then I need an accurate summary. Hard to keep up with all the chaos.

@Dutch Your post is 100% accurate. The slipping GDP, the rising PCE, the struggling markets, the jobs problems, the flow of dollars away from U.S. investment, the murders, the protection of child molesters. The rising tide of corruption.

Those who are still supporting this nonsense are getting fewer every day. The ones still on board are grasping and fixating on minutiae. If they get an inflation read (a single data point) that suits them, they harp on it. Meanwhile ignoring the totality of the affordability circumstances.

They cared about full disclosure of who was in the Epstein files, until trump's name started popping up. Now they are fine with mass redactions. It was always just a political tool to them, never about justice for the victims.

The usual response from those deeply embedded in the cult is flailing irrelevancies. Whataboutisms and straw men. They seem to not know how transparent the straw men they employ, really are. If not careful, they will drag one into the sort of circular arguments that help avoid real issues. Usually old de-bunked nonsense, they keep recycling.

Other than that, great post.

Can you show me where I said that Trump lowered inflation? Nowhere.

Have Democrats, along with some Nobel Prize–winning economists, been warning for months about high inflation that never materialized? True or false?

During Biden’s presidency, did the U.S. experience the highest inflation in over 40 years? True or false?

Is the border now under Trump much better control than it was during Biden’s term? True or false?

Did 12 million illegals cross the border, many of them criminals, during Biden's term? True or false?

Is crime at its lowest level since 1900? True or false?

Are NATO European countries paying significantly more under Trump? True or false?

Did Putin invade Ukraine under two Democratic presidents, Obama and Biden, but not under Trump? True or false?

Did Biden leave Afghanistan with 13 dead soldiers and billions in equipment? True or false?

The above should be easy to answer.

As for Epstein, I don’t care, just as I didn’t care about Lewinsky during Clinton.

Isn't the decision (rebuke), which is based on our laws, even more notable because of SCOTUS partisan allegiance?

And what of the trump meltdown over it? he doesn't act like it is a big nothing burger. Or, did he lose his mind over nothing? Attacking his own appointees?

The real issue here, and the topic at hand, is that Roberts went off script by citing the seeming disorganization and mercurial nature of it all. That is unconventional. Many business have cited the same as reasons to avoid investing in business growth at this time.

Inflation was bad under Biden but what did you expect with the massive money pumped into the economy during Covid? Much of that under Trump. Combine that with supply chain breakdowns and corporate opportunism to increase profits and you had a perfect storm.
Has inflation gone down under Trump as he promised it would on day one. Yes or no?

Border crossings are really not affected much by enforcement but more cyclical, driven by home countries economic and political instabilities. As stated earlier they were going down near the end of Biden’s term and have pretty much continued that trend under Trump as they would have if someone else was President. Red herring of an argument.

As far as 12 million illegals coming here I really wish we could keep them and get rid of the racist bigoted MAGAs, they are so much better people.

Crime levels have been declining for decades. Just because the Pedo President has unleashed thugs on our streets, mostly in communities that are blue leaning, doesn’t mean he’s made any impact on crime rates. Especially when you look at where they are deployed. Shit for Brains sends them to Blue communities while there are red areas with much higher crime rates he ignores. It’s not about crime, it's about intimidation and punishment to his perceived enemies.

Why would Putin invade while Trump was President? He was getting everything he wanted from Trump. A Buffon that took the word of a tyrant over his own intelligence agencies and rock bottom relation between the U.S. and Europe. Yes NATO spending has increased but it is more because Europe knows Trump is in Putin’s back pocket and they can no longer count on the U.S. in security matters, much less economic ones. Trump has pretty much shattered that relationship and the rest of the developed world is moving on without us and we will increasingly be isolated and weakened. Has the Orange Turd ended the Ukraine war like he said he would do on day one?

As far as the evacuation of Afghanistan, Biden was carrying out the plan negotiated under the Trump regime. While that plan was a disaster like everything Trump touches, it was time to get out of Afghanistan, which we got into under a Republican President. As usual Trump creates a dumpster fire, walks away a leaves it for much better people to clean up and then declares victory despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary.

Maga suddenly "don't care", now that trump is looking more and more guilty. Who, in sound mind, didn't see this coming? Being an outspoken trump apologist is getting weirder by the minute.

“Yesterday, I reviewed unredacted evidence logs at the Department of Justice. Oversight Democrats can confirm that the DOJ appears to have illegally withheld FBI interviews with this survivor who accused President Trump of heinous crimes,”

•The Department of Justice has withheld from public disclosure in the Epstein files memos and notes about FBI interviews, including those of a woman who has alleged that President Donald Trump sexually abused her when she was a minor, MS NOW reported.

The woman, who was interviewed in July 2019 by the FBI about allegations against convicted sexual predator Jeffrey Epstein, has alleged that “Trump forced her to perform oral sex on him 35 years ago, when she was 13 or 14 years old, and subsequently hit her,” MS NOW reported.

There is an additional aspect to this Epstein thing, coming to light lately: it seems apparent that the whole business includes a layer of international kompromat being created which involved famous and politically well-connected people, thus manufacturing discord and reputational damage. Fomented by Putin the War Criminal, whom the Orange Spineless Wonder welcomed on a red carpet in AK, last August. In the States, who's the only one sentenced to jail time? Maxwell, now relocated to a lollipop "prison" in Texas. I do hope the spam hits the fan for the scumbags involved in sex with underage kids.

Inflation was bad under Biden but what did you expect with the massive money pumped into the economy during Covid? Much of that under Trump. Combine that with supply chain breakdowns and corporate opportunism to increase profits and you had a perfect storm.
In my view, Joe Biden did not demonstrate strong economic leadership. I believe his administration directed significant federal spending toward Democratic priorities and DEI-related initiatives, including funding for certain cities and states, teacher unions, and agencies such as USAID. There were widespread reports of fraud and abuse in the distribution of relief funds, with significant amounts lost to improper payments and embezzlement. At the same time, millions of people received benefits while staying home from work.
I also believe that CDC policies were flawed in many instances, and that decisions, particularly around prolonged school closures, were influenced heavily by teachers’ unions, resulting in children remaining at home longer than necessary. Many businesses were forced to stay closed for extended periods, which caused lasting economic damage.
In addition, millions of workers lost their jobs as companies implemented policies aligned with CDC guidance that, in hindsight, some argue was inconsistent or later revised.
From my perspective, that level of spending contributed to the surge in inflation, which reached its highest levels in over 40 years during his term.
Border crossings are really not affected much by enforcement but more cyclical, driven by home countries economic and political instabilities. As stated earlier they were going down near the end of Biden’s term and have pretty much continued that trend under Trump as they would have if someone else was President. Red herring of an argument.
By the end of Biden’s term, economic conditions had improved compared to the earlier period, but in my view they still did not match the performance seen during Trump’s presidency. I believe some of the policy decisions made during that time were politically motivated, aimed at gaining electoral support.
Did Obama let 12 million in? No
Did Obama deport illegals? Yes, about 3 million.
Easy comparison to show that Biden was the worst president and why Trump won. Dems can't admit it.

The Democratic leaders continue to support more permissive immigration policies, and critics argue that this approach is driven by the assumption that new immigrants may eventually align with the Democratic Party.
As far as 12 million illegals coming here I really wish we could keep them and get rid of the racist bigoted MAGAs, they are so much better people.
Typical Lib. The racists are Dem and DEI policies, which are based on race and minorities.
That said, Chicago has been governed by Democratic leadership for decades, and critics argue that the city’s long-standing crime and governance challenges reflect ineffective local policies. Some also contend that city officials have resisted certain types of outside assistance.
By contrast, supporters point to cities like Memphis and Washington, D.C., where cooperation with federal or state initiatives has been credited with contributing to recent sharp declines in crime rates within weeks.
There has been a great deal of misinformation surrounding these issues.
The claim that Trump “gave Putin everything” strikes me as no more credible than the Russia collusion narrative, which I believe was politically set up and amplified by Democratic leaders, including Hillary Clinton, along with elements within the FBI and CIA.
In my view, NATO defense spending increased in part because Trump pressured European members to meet their commitments and take greater responsibility for their own defense.
If applying that kind of pressure was so straightforward, why didn’t Presidents Obama or Biden achieve the same result during their terms?
As far as the evacuation of Afghanistan, Biden was carrying out the plan negotiated under the Trump regime. While that plan was a disaster like everything Trump touches, it was time to get out of Afghanistan, which we got into under a Republican President. As usual Trump creates a dumpster fire, walks away a leaves it for much better people to clean up and then declares victory despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary.
NO, The evacuation was a disaster and disorganized. Typical Biden

I guess it would only matter if your daughter got raped, other than that: WHO CARES!!! Carry on.
If there had been the same level of outrage toward Democratic leaders like Clinton and Kennedy, who faced serious allegations of misconduct while in office, I might be more inclined to listen to the criticism directed at others.
It often feels as though people with differing political views are quickly demonized rather than debated. In my view, today’s Democratic Party has become far more hostile toward opposing opinions than it was in the past. The constant foul and abusive language in hundreds of posts on this site is, in my view, further proof of that.
I also find it troubling that some individuals allow politics to damage or even sever relationships with family and friends. Disagreeing on policy is one thing, but walking away from personal relationships over politics is another.

"Everything Trump touches turns to shit."

Paraphrasing David Brooks, Trump degrades everyone that comes into close contact with him.
    I apologize for repeating myself.

You can certainly see that in so many of his ardent supporters or previous appointees.

From Giuliani to Barr to Powell to Lindell to Flynn to over 1500 Jan 6 convicted felons.

You can also see it in his apologists who need to skip over his current economic failures, or portray them inaccurately. The pounce on a single month CPI that was aberrant, or a single quarter GDP. But ignore a smoking hot PPI YOY result. Those sorts of omissions degrade them too.

We get the usual boasts. But the stream of slipping indicators tell a completely different story. Full year GDP of 2.4% is not only a failed promise, but more than 20% lower than the previous year. Full year PPI is not lower, despite claims of increased affordability. The S&P was 40% lower in 2025 than the two previous years. Job growth was basically non-existent. Health care cost were significantly higher, some of the highest increases in over a decade, despite promises to the contrary.

Ignoring all of that, while cheering relentlessly for the home team, degrades those who go along with the gaslighting.
  • Of course, then there is the DOJ attempting to scrub the Epstein files of serious allegations regarding child abuse. Suddenly, they no longer want to talk about Epstein.

You cannot expect any real dialogue with someone who spends time promoting a guy who is at best protecting pedophiles, at worst one of them himself.

I can answer a few of these, based on public and court records. Yes, he is a convicted sexual criminal. Yes, he is convicted of fraud. Yes, the economy is slipping, badly. Most expect the worst is yet to come. Yes, trump took VZ oil and stashed it off shore in Qatar, for no legitimate reason. Yes, trump was caught red-handed attempting to delete video evidence in the classified documents case against him. Yes, trump is the sort of pos that was screwing a pornstar, while his wife was pregnant with his child. Yes, trump stole from a children's cancer fund.

This is all a matter of record, some of which emanates from grand jury proceedings and actual court proceedings.

Yes, anyone ignoring all of this degrades themselves. Some cannot go any lower.

Yes mona, the inability to perceive the difference between a consensual adult affair, and child abuse, would imply a deep moral shortcoming.

trump having his participation in Epstein's child sex ring, scrubbed from DOJ files, certainly shows it is a very real thing to him. The low-IQ bunch like to play stupid over such things, citing "fake news".

This is quite a list. Some real standouts.

•Trump pardoned approximately 1,500 January 6 defendants on his first day in office, including people convicted of assaulting police officers, and ordered the DOJ to dismiss roughly 300 pending indictments.

*Among those pardoned: a man who repeatedly tased a police officer in the neck, a man who crushed an officer in a doorframe with a riot shield, and a man who pepper-sprayed an officer who died the next day.

•By October 2025, at least 33 pardoned insurrectionists had been rearrested or charged with new crimes, including 6 for child sex crimes and 5 for illegal weapons possession.

Shocking, really. Goes completely against the notion that these were just regular people expressing a Constitutional right. Many were simply violent felons.

  • The notion that the Roberts rebuke was no big deal, is utterly destroyed by trump's own reaction. One where he debases himself and his own SCOTUS appointees.

Or worse, it really was no big deal, and he completely lost his shit over a tiny setback.

Either way, it does not come across as reasonable or rational. It verges on insanity.

During his first term, Trump sought to reshape the Middle East by promoting new diplomatic relationships, most notably through the Abraham Accords. Supporters view those agreements as a breakthrough that created new channels of cooperation between Israel and several Arab nations and opened the door to further regional stability.

Many also argue that confronting Iran, widely described by U.S. officials as a leading state sponsor of terrorism, was a necessary step toward achieving a more stable and secure Middle East.

Could Obama or Biden do it? Not even close.

In my view, the focus on Epstein, much like the emphasis on the Russia collusion fake narrative, has little relevance to the everyday lives of most Americans.

Issues such as border security, the impact of high inflation, crime, the role of DEI policies in public institutions, and a weak America strike me as far more consequential to people’s daily lives and financial well-being.

Wait—what about the price of eggs, or the “sure possibility” of inflation you talked about for months while trying to demoralize everyone?
  • Roberts to the Orange One: chaos and confusion from the alleged "leader," the Chief Executive, is definitely not any way to run a country.

The fact that Orange was re-elected is the final nail in the coffin. There are sufficient numbers of people in this country who do not care about what's right or wrong. Orange is a sex offender and felonious tax cheat. ("But, so what?") And just today, the self-proclaimed "Peace" President is firing missiles into Iran.

Electing him the first time was bad enough. Giving speeches on the stump during the campaign, and at the same time, trying to sell me steaks and wine? The ultimate, conscience-less huckster.

Yeah, I remember one middle-aged trump voter telling me that he was voting for trump so his young children would not end up caught in endless wars. Repeating trump's pledge, almost verbatim. He seems rather disillusioned at the moment. Syria, Iran, Venezuela, Nigeria, Somalia, Yemen...

Netanyahu played trump, like a puppet, to involve the U.S. in yet another Middle East conflict. Any concept of a deal or arrangement was laughable. trump's deals have the lasting power of day old fish. Syria was a supposed "threat to ME stability and world peace" too. trump abandoned our Kurdish allies there without any warning, handing over our hardened military bases to immediate Russian occupation within hours.

Some try to pin a messy exit from the collapsing situation in Afghanistan on anything but those who put us there against all good judgment. Iraq (4,400 dead 32,000 wounded) and Afghanistan (2500 dead, 21,000 wounded) sit squarely on GOP shoulders. Both outcomes were pre-ordained. Both deemed necessary for national security.

Whatever happens in Iran sits on trump's shoulders. Our ME allies urged us to stay out of it. Do you think that trump ever heard of the Shah, or how that ended? Doubtful.

Or maybe trump partied with Pahlavi at Lolita Island?

Yes, weak sauce. All you end up with are old stale easily disproved talking points.
And little Jack Horner thinking, "What a good boy, am I".

The best some can do, I suppose.
  • Thank you DrVenture et al for standing up.

I have a long list of facts that I can contribute, but we just got our power back after almost a week in the dark here on Cape Cod. FEMA was no where to be seen, because Trump dismantled it, not that he would let them help us in a heavily Blue state, anyway.

What was really inspiring is the number of Canadian (and red state) line crews here to help repair our electrical service. 100% of our town was dark until they arrived.

We talked to a lot of the Canadians. They were happy to help and said they did not hold our President against us, but as much as they found Cape Cod "amazing" they were not going to be vacationing here until Trump was gone.

FD1000's comments on the politics of the CDC and Covid can be refuted with facts, as I have tried to do in the past.

I wonder if anything Trump has done will possibly be worse than his destruction of the NIH and the CDC. FD1000 apparently does not believe their family will ever need life saving medical care based on research funded by federal dollars.

Regardless of what facts you pick out about crime ( it is far far higher in red cities than most blue ones) the economy or immigration, I will never never understand how any right minded person can support someone who hurls such hatred and vitriol at countries who used to be our closest friends or who wants to cut cancer research by 40% to only a fraction of the $200 Billion he wants to put into ICE.

Anyone who ignores the utter lawlessness and contempt for 250 years of American Constitutional history that is the backbone of this administration's Justice Department needs to think a bit about what will happen to them and their family when that fury is directed at them, for whatever reason.
