I've posted the following comments in another thread—they're included here for your convenience.
Another good week for the country!

The Trump administration attempted to illegally deport a group of migrant Guatemelan children (ages 10-17)
in the dead of night over the Labor Day weekend.
A federal judge issued a temporary restraining which halted these deportations.
Is this what our country has become—we're now using children as political pawns?

"In their complaint on Sunday, the National Immigration Law Center and Young Center for Immigrant Children's Rights said the deportations would be a 'clear violation of the unambiguous protections that Congress has provided them as vulnerable children.' The complaint said that in Guatemala, the children 'may face abuse, neglect, persecution, or even torture, against their best interests.'"

  • but, but, but.... Those children might grow up, become citizens, and run for Congress. Or worse, start a real estate empire in NYC.
