"Why haven’t the American Bar Association or the American Medical Association, stood up
against the unethical behavior of professionals in the Trump regime?
I was always told that professional associations existed to maintain professional standards,
not merely restrict the number of licensed professionals to maintain professional prices."

"On November 17, 2025, a federal magistrate judge identified multiple instances of Halligan’s misconduct,
including making 'fundamental misstatements of the law' to a grand jury.
Halligan admitted she never showed the final indictment to the entire grand jury
after it had rejected her first submission, a remarkable failure.
    "

"According to the American Bar Association’s model rules of conduct (adopted by every state bar association),
a prosecutor in a criminal case must 'refrain from prosecuting a charge that the prosecutor knows
is not supported by probable cause.' It is also considered professional misconduct for a lawyer
to 'engage in conduct that is prejudicial to the administration of justice.'
    "

"Prasad, the Food and Drug Administration’s top vaccine regulator, recently claimed that Covid vaccines
were dangerous for children and had caused the deaths of 'at least 10 children.'

"Twelve former FDA commissioners said Prasad’s claim broke sharply from long-standing
scientific norms and posed 'a threat to evidence-based vaccine policy and public health security.'"
Inside Medicine reported that Prasad used incomplete information and that the pediatric death toll
from Covid shots was between zero and seven.
    "

"More to the point, how many children would have died without the Covid vaccine?
The Centers for Disease Control reported that more than 2,100 American children died of Covid since the pandemic began."

Not a good week or time here either. "Sen. Alex Padilla (D-Cal.), in June, was manhandled, thrown to the ground, and hustled out of the room when he simply tried to question Homeland Security Department Secretary Kristi Noem about federal immigration forces’ acts of brutality. He then delivered with immense dignity this speech on the Senate floor:"

Wow, a 9yo piece from PK?

    What else you got?

You are one weak arguer sometimes.

Plus, diminish any source that he doesn't 'approve of'. Literally, only seeking opinions he embraces. Close-mindedness. Then grasp all the things maga is known for (deflection, distraction, diversion, whataboutism) and play, "I'm rubber, you're glue". Transparent.

Literally, the mark of fascism and propaganda.

All "send" and no "receive". Practically, comical.

  • @DrVenture. In one sense, I almost feel sorry for him. Almost. No doubt, he made a habit of getting beat up in the schoolyard.
  • "In one sense, I almost feel sorry for him."

I feel really sorry for his immediate family.
    Oh, how they must suffer!
  • I guess it needs to be said - again, for the slooow wildebeest. I’ll say it like Trump, in ALL CAPS. Maybe that resonates? POTUS IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL GOOD THINGS THAT MIGHT HAPPEN IN THIS ECONOMY!!!!!

    Everyone: repeat after me.

Unless, somehow, there are ALL exactly the same, via genetics or modeling. Then, they deserve each other.

Can you IMAGINE, what would happen if this were done by Democrats to a maga politician? Without question, acts of violence in retribution. Screaming, threatening, press checking of firearms, a firebomb or two.

Maybe someday, a hillbilly sheriff down South, will mistake Farken for an illegal? I am certain he would take it in stride.

Same script as always: deny, dismiss, and downplay every failure by Democrats while minimizing every success by Republicans.

    Let’s review the record.

Under Biden, Europe saw its largest war since World War II, the Middle East destabilized further, millions crossed the southern border, including criminals and terrorists, and inflation reached a 40-year high, hurting working families.

In less than a year, inflation has been brought under control, global stability has improved, trillions in investment have begun flowing into the economy, government payrolls were reduced while private-sector jobs increased, tariffs generated billions, the southern border was shut down, NATO countries boosted defense spending, energy prices fell, and GDP growth exceeded 4%.
    DEI is mostly dead, finally.

Libs continue to cry and complain worse than any baby I have known.
I need to see at least 15 posts denying the above.

...Yada yada yada. MAGA boilerplate junk. Uncle Orange and his minions have trashed the country's reputation and have diminished the reach of U.S. political and military power--- INTENTIONALLY. (He works for uncle Vlad, remember.) Unnecessary tariffs have alienated allies. The FED is holding rates higher than Orange One wants; why? Because Orange One wants to pay less interest on the gargantuan federal deficit. No, he did not create it. He just massively increased it, along with the Repugnant Party Congress.

Millionaires and billionaires get a massive tax break. The ordinary guy takes it in the shorts. And the next two generations (at least) will have to pay for the profligate spending by gummint, while Orange Donny wants his name plastered on every wall, like a Roman Emperor.

Some things are more important than money. Character. Integrity. Honesty. Leadership. Donny would not recognize any of that if he ATE it.

    @FD1000,

I choose not to deny, dismiss, or downplay the Trump administration's numerous failures.
Why is it extremely difficult for you to even acknowledge that the following actions occurred:
    a) unprecedented corruption
    b) violations of federal and international law
    c) failure to uphold the Constitution
    d) sadistic cruelty towards fellow Americans?

    WTH is wrong with you?

Note: Referencing deceptive White House press releases, disseminating right-wing propaganda,
invoking imaginary TDS, and blaming President Biden for Trump's blunders is not regarded as genuine debate!

Whether you are dealing with a MAGA cult member or a troll, the result will be the same. Any attempts at reason will receive responses involving gaslighting, avoidance or cherry-picked factoids. At some point, we must leave them in their dark holes and move on.

Looking forward to the mid-term elections in just over 10 months - a potential inflection point.

    Don't forget, "I'm rubber, your glue". It's a classic!

Man wasn't that economy that Biden created awesome? After the time it took to fix the previous administration's screw ups, we had two consecutive years of +25% S&P gains. And quarterly GDP as high as 4.7%. All him! Or whoever was running the autopen, anyhow.

No way to see it differently, at all. POTUS controls our massive economy in every way. He gets full credit, each and every time. No politics involved!

What makes me especially proud and hopeful is that now that we are getting rid of all the immigrants, firing all the minorities, forcing women to be "trad wives" and halting visas for highly trained individuals, real Americans will now have jobs that improve our economy, drive innovation and entrepreneurialism. Young Americans are flocking to STEM and manual labor in such numbers that the future is virtually guaranteed. We will be utterly self sufficient. It will be great again.

"On December 23, Rebecca Ballhaus, Josh Dawsey, and C. Ryan Barber of the Wall Street Journal
examined Trump’s use of the president’s pardoning power to cash in, with 'lobbyists close to Trump'
saying that 'their going rate to advocate for a pardon is $1 million.'
Some of those eager for a presidential pardon have offered lobbyists as much as $6 million if they succeed."

"The Justice Department’s former pardon attorney, Liz Oyer, was fired in March.
She told the Wall Street Journal reporters that Trump 'appears to be considering political, personal
and financial interests and not the interests of the American public,'
    subverting the pardon process."

Comments: Donald J. Trump has monetized and politicized the pardon process to reward his allies.
Never mind that these pardons are not in the best interests of the country!
A lamebrained man-child fails, once gain, to judiciously execute his duties.

"Almost all of us are mongrels — of mixed nationalities, mixed ethnicities, mixed races, mixed creeds.
While we maintain our own traditions, we also embrace the ideals of this nation."

"As Ronald Reagan put it in a 1988 speech,
You can go to Japan to live, but you cannot become Japanese.
You can go to France to live and not become a Frenchman.
You can go to live in Germany or Turkey, and you won’t become a German or a Turk.
But … anybody from any corner of the world can come to America to live and become an American.
A person becomes an American by adopting America’s principles, especially those principles
summarized in the 'self-evident truths' of the Declaration of Independence, such as 'life, liberty,
    and the pursuit of happiness.'"

"Reagan understood that America is a set of aspirations and ideals, more than it is a nationality.
Miller and Trump want to fuel bigotry.
Like dictators before him, Trump’s road to tyranny is paved with stones hurled at 'them.'
His entire project depends on hate.
    "

Comments: Donald J. Trump has implemented a 'divide and conquer' strategy to pit 'us against them.'
It's a classic authoritarian maneuver executed by a narcissistic, feeble-minded man who clings to power.
Donald J. Trump, however, will be humiliated and recognized as one of the worst presidents
in the entire history of the United States.

    Mark my words...
  • And the Repugnant Party on The Hill just watches. Spectators, forsaking their oaths. It's a putrid time to be living in the USA.

@DrVenture, thank you for the explanation. I now have a deeper appreciation for our friend’s refined gutter culture. It's unfortunate that he's not a real American and while the rest of us were working, building, and contributing, he has been busy cultivating opinions of absolutely no value.

So, ironic too. He desperately needs validation, recognition and adoration. He boasts and gilds and then whines, if it is not forthcoming from all quarters. He thinks spreading his likeness, or plastering his name on walls will accomplish his need for faux immortality. But, like all such tinpot dictators before him, this false idolatry will be erased. And history will not be kind. His children will bear the burden, and he doesn't care. Even they know this, and have now slipped into the shadows.

    Great post @Observant1

  • checking treasures on the fd1k website, here is what i found since feb 2025 :

what fd1k says he specifically does :
'I’m still about 99% invested in just two bond funds...'

high conviction advice to others during april tariff tantrum :
'Maybe it's time to buy back stocks, AKA, the SP500....'

feb pre-tariff trade advice to others, yielding futility to those that asked fd1k if these were his own actions :

'1) The SP500 continues to be a simple hold. It's just over 1% from the top and uptrend didn't break with the lowest volatility.
    2) GLD continues to lead but with high volatility.
    3) Adding CEFs is a pretty good choice and a much higher income SINCE EARLY 2024 while I trashed them for 5 years (2019-2023).. This is a good choice for many investors with high income + good performance, and SD.
    4) VTV continues to do fine.
    5) IWM + VGK should be watched, unless you are a faster trader.
Someone's style and goals can dictate their holdings. SP500,CEFs(or a specific CEF like PDI),VTV as core holdings. Add GLD as your explore fund.'

  • Oh wow, some things that didn't exactly work out there! These are reasons to "ignore" the self-annointed "expert" who has created his own venue to spread unsolicited "advice".

Great find @a2z Really puts a fine point on the pencil, because as we know, if we can find any errors in someone's forecasts, they can be ignored in all things. And all paths derived from backwards looking indicators are indeed "forecasts".

"Trump has revealed himself in ways his first-term handlers wouldn’t allow — as a sociopath

it all about himself. A chronic liar who says prices are dropping when everyone knows they’re rising."

"Trump has precipitated a long-overdue reckoning.
That reckoning has revealed the rot."

"It has also revealed the suck-up cowardice of so many CEOs, billionaires, Wall Street bankers,
media moguls, tech titans, Republican politicians, and other so-called 'leaders'
    who have stayed silent
or actively sought to curry Trump’s favor."

    "America’s so-called 'leadership class' is a sham.
Most of them do not care a whit for the rest of America. They are out for themselves."

"But the nightmare has awakened much of America to the truth about what has happened
to this country — and what we must do to get it back on the track toward social justice, democracy,
    and widespread prosperity."

People that I know who were distraught at many of these eventualities, I attempted to comfort by saying that this has served to bring out the cockroaches into the light...to be addressed. So, your post is precisely my view of what is happening. I WANT to know who is intolerant of others. I WANT to know who is selfish or sociopathic in their thinking. I WANT everyone to know. No more secret backstabbing, or whispers in the dark, or Klannish meetings. NOW, it can be dealt with.

If maga, or racists, or haters of any stripe, want to exist apart from others who do not share those views, then so be it. I welcome it.

All indications are that it is THEY who are the ones suffering. They are the ones who seek approval. THEY are the ones who want liberal art, music, movies. NOT the other way around. They should feel free to change the channel. See ya!

Proof? Farken is still posting here. Why would he care, if not to seek validation or approval, which will never be forthcoming. The bizarre self-rationalization? To "provide a balanced" view? Only fooling themselves.

    Hope I didn't leave a mark!

    Great catch! @Mona

We know that certain folks will try to spin this as some "efficiency" or "success" or "win", but it is borne of necessity. Neither bad, nor good, but you can be certain that trump, bessent, nor vance is giving one whit what groceries cost. Not even on their radar.
